Best wishes and be well.
ABOUT ME
A graduate from Sutherland-Chan Toronto in 2002, I moved to Whistler and worked there for several years. Eventually, I decided to take a break and changed professions to the trades. After developing a wood allergy I decided to re-certify as an RMT in 2017 and it was the best decision I could have made.
Whereas my original focus as a massage therapist was purely sports-based deep tissue work, my fascination with the human body is now all about the whys and the hows of the mechanisms of pain. It enthralls me. So now the woodshop has been converted to a lovely little clinic located south of town and my continuing education courses have been focused on enhancing my skills using craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, neural manipulation and dermo-neuro modulation (DNM), lymphatic balancing and body balancing, usually using the least amount of pressure to effect the greatest amount of change.
To further my knowledge base, I am currently finishing my 2nd year at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine in Toronto. To that end, please also know in BC the techniques, knowledge, and reasoning used in Chinese Medicine is outside of the scope of practice for RMTs so I will not be using these skills in my practice as an RMT.
I look forward to working with you.
